WORLD HANDICAP SYSTEM - ADELAIDE METRO GAMES
Your Metro Division Committee has decided all future events run by Metro Division will use the maximum handicaps for both men & women as determined by the home club, whatever that particular golf club has decided for its own members.
This has been brought about because of the power each club now has to determine the maximum handicaps for both men & women members within their own club and in line with the guidelines of the new World Handicap System.
Investigations held with each of the clubs normally played by Metro have revealed that the majority of clubs are changing to the new 54/54 maximums. One club is remaining with the 36/45 and one club is introducing 45/45 maximums.
Maximum handicaps at the two VGSA sponsored events each year i.e. the State Championship (see Championships menu item), and Sand-Green Championship, remain capped at 36/45. The maximum handicaps set for the Interzone Challenge will be the province of the host Division.
