HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
To become a veteran golfer you need to be:
- 55 years of age or over;
- an amateur member of a recognised golf club affiliated with Golf Australia or a Country Golf Club affiliated with GolfSA but, as determined by the Australian Veteran Golfers' Union, NOT a Social Golf Club;
- You must have a current Golf Australia handicap.
The joining fee is $5.00 and the annual membership fee is currently $15 – that is, the initial fee to become a veteran golfer with the Adelaide Metro Division is $20.00. You may join in a game with any group in SA or Interstate once you have joined any one group (see CONTACTS page for details of how to contact other than the Adelaide Metro Division). If intending to play interstate please complete the details inside the front cover of the programme book and have it signed by the Secretary. The Committee of the Adelaide Metro Division Veteran Golfers' Association Inc has ruled that golfers who are SOLE members of a Social Golf Club are not eligible to either:
become members of this Association; or
play in competitions, including Tour Events, organised and run by the Metro Division.
Golfers who are joint members of a "bricks and mortar" golf club AND a social golf club are exempt from this exclusion.
